On July 13, 2023, the Cabinet appointed Mr. Itzhak Fisher as the Chairman of the Rwanda Mines, Petroleum, and Gas Board (RMB). He takes over the role from Jean-Paul Adam, who had served as the Chair of the Board of Directors since 2020.

Mr. Itzhak Fisher has also held the position of Chairman of  Rwanda Development Board since 2017. With his extensive experience and strategic business knowledge in areas such as strategic partnerships, business development, and leadership, he brings valuable assets to his new role as Chairman at RMB.

Mr. Itzhak Fisher is the Founder and General Partner of Pereg Ventures, a private equity fund backed by Nielsen.

Following the announcement, RMB CEO, Amb. Yamina, expressed her warm welcome to the new Chairman via Twitter.
