Kigali, February 17, 2026 — The CEO of the Rwanda Mines, Petroleum and Gas Board (RMB), Alice Uwase, recieved the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Rwanda, who is based in Dar es Salaam, along with his delegation.

The meeting focused on Rwanda’s expanding investment opportunities within the mining sector and explored potential collaborations in the petroleum and gas industries. Discussions emphasized Rwanda’s dedication to responsible mining, supported by a robust legal and regulatory framework, a diverse mineral portfolio, and numerous investment opportunities throughout the mineral value chain.

Rwanda is recognized as a reliable and transparent destination for mining investments. The country continues to advance geological research and actively promotes value addition within the sector.

The Indonesian delegation expressed strong interest in understanding Rwanda’s investment climate and identifying potential avenues for partnership across the mining, petroleum, and gas sectors.
