RMB hosted MBA students from Georgia Tech’s Scheller College of Business
Kigali, March 24, 2026 —RMB today hosted a joint session between its senior leadership, technical experts, and MBA students from Georgia Tech’s Scheller College of Business as part of an ongoing MBA International Practicum collaboration. During the meeting, the student teams presented interim results of their projects, which are being developed in close coordination with RMB.
The projects focus on two priority areas for Rwanda’s Mining sector: mitigating illegal mining and unlocking value through the monetization of mining waste and tailings. The proposed approaches reflect a combination of global best practices and context-specific insights, highlighting actionable pathways for improving sector governance, increasing resource efficiency, and enhancing economic returns. RMB noted the high quality of the work presented and its potential to inform practical, implementation-oriented solutions.
The practicum projects will continue over the coming months, culminating in final strategic recommendations expected to support decision-making, pilot initiatives, and long-term policy development within the Mining sector.
