RMB welcomes CEO Francis Kamanzi
Kigali, March 08, 2024 – The outgoing CEO of RMB, Amb. Yamina Karitanyi has handed over to the new Chief Executive Officer of RMB, Mr.Francis Kamanzi in a ceremony held at RMB Headquarters and was presided over by Minister Judith Uwizeye.
Amb. Yamina expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lead RMB and acknowledged the team's efforts in achieving significant milestones. She highlighted the importance of continued progress.
Mr. Francis Kamanzi brings a wealth of experience. In his address, he thanked his predecessor for her contributions and emphasized the importance of sustained commitment and excellence from the RMB staff.
He urged RMB team to remain focused on advancing mining, quarry, oil and gas sectors to substantially contribute to Rwanda's sustainable economic development.
He highlighted the necessity of prioritizing efficient workflow, quality-based performance, and maximizing available resources to ensure the mining sector's prominence on a global scale.
Minister Judith Uwizeye, in her concluding remarks, welcomed Mr. Kamanzi and emphasized the need for RMB to meet the government's expectations. She called for increased productivity, improved efficiency in inspection activities, and adherence to compliance standards, vital for the sector's continued success.
Under Francis Kamanzi's leadership, Rwanda's rich mineral resources are primed to play a significant role in the global supply chain, adhering to environmental and social governance standards.
