Kigali, July 23, 2025 – In a handover ceremony hosted at the Rwanda Mines, Petroleum and Gas Board (RMB), Francis Kamanzi, the outgoing CEO, officially handed over leadership to Alice Uwase, the incoming Chief Executive Officer. 

In her inaugural address, CEO Alice expressed sincere gratitude for Kamanzi’s contributions to the organization and the overall growth within Rwanda's extractive sector. This has set a strong foundation upon which the sector can continue to thrive.

Bringing a wealth of experience in the mining, oil, and gas sectors, CEO Alice is exceptionally poised to guide Rwanda’s extractive industry to new levels of achievement. She is set to drive initiatives aimed at championing sustainable development, bolstering competitiveness, and enhancing the economic value derived from these vital sectors.
